Processor explained.

We had thought about CPUs since our childhood,
That the CPU is the brain of the computer which refers to the Central Processing Unit which processes data.
So all smart devices have a CPU(Processor).
In this article, we will know about the Processor.

What is a processor?

What is processor

The processor is the electrical circuit within a mobile (computer) that carries out the instructions of programs by performing the basic arithmetic, logic,(ALU) controlling, and input and output operations specified by the instructions.

Architecture.

Arm processor design

Architecture is the design(map) of a processor that designers design the same as we design our house.
the processor is created by licensed companies and the most popular company which create the architecture of the processor is the ARM company.
Here are some names of the architecture of processors made by ARM company.

Cortex A-5, Cortex A-7, Cortex A-9,
Cortex A-11, Cortex A-15, Cortex A-53,
Cortex A-57, Cortex A-5

This company changes its processor design every year, the more the powerful design becomes, the more powerful will be the processor.

Technology used.

Technology used in processor

The power of the processor depends on its technology. According to the architecture of the processor, the company makes processors using nanotechnology. By using very small transistors in the processor. The smaller the size of the transistor, the processor becomes equally powerful.

Here are some nanometres used in the latest mobile processors.

7nm, 10nm, 12nm, 14nm, etc.

Cores.

CPU core

When you buy a mobile it is written in the specification that it has a Dual core-2 core, Quad core-4 core, Hexa core- 6 core, and Octa core-8 core. The more core in the processor the more powerful will be the processor. But along with this, the architecture and technology should also be new so that multi-core can support processors well and deliver maximum speed for mobile.

Here are some of the mobiles with their processor core count.

1. Octa-Core     Redmi note 6 pro
2. Hexa-core:      LG G4
3. Quad-Core:     Redmi 6A

Clock speed (Frequency).

Cpu frequency

This point is most important in all the above points because if we will not know the frequency of a processor, then we will not be able to know the speed of the processor that clocks the speed at which t works in a second. The Frequency is measured in GHz, 1 GHz in a mobile processor means that the processor will work 10 million times in 1 second. As the number increases, the processor speed increases as well.
Here are some names of processors used in mobile phones.
  • Qualcomm Snapdragon.
  • Exynos.
  • Kirin.
  • Apple Bionic chip.
  • Mediatek.
That is all about mobile phone processors,
I hope you have understood about the processors.
