Dolby Atmos (Atmosphere)




We all like to see movies in the theater, but why?
The only answer is that we like the experience of watching and listening to a movie theater. and the only thing that is the backbone of any movie theater is the sound.
Nowadays the technology in the field of sounds has improved very much.
The sound technology started with a mono(monophonic) system.
Then the improvements and upgradation goes on and then Stereo(Stereophonics) was introduced, after Stereo(Stereophonic) the listening experience of sound was improved very much but there were some disadvantages to stereo sound so,

The new surround-sound technology introduced is called Dolby Atmos or Dolby Atmosphere.
The Dolby Atmos was firstly introduced in June 2012. The first movie comes with Dolby atmos sound support was the animated movie Brave.

Now the question arrives.

What is Dolby Atmos?

Dolby Atmos is an audio format for creating and playing back multichannel movie soundtracks. It was developed to give movie sound a more three-dimensional effect or,
It is the audio encoding techniques that encode the audio in such a manner that when you hear the audio so you can get a good listening experience.


Working of Dolby Atmos.

Dolby Atmos is an audio encoding format that uses 128 different audio instruments and encodes the audio of these instruments differently. So that when we listen to the sound we can precisely notice each and every detail of sound in a 3d environment.
In the Dolby Atmos-enabled, theater speakers are installed at each and every place including the roof, walls, and the back side or projection screen.
These speakers correlate themselves that which speaker will produce what sound at a particular time.
