We click pictures with our mobile phone, because we all want to capture our movement to see them in future and store those movements for long time.

So for clicking pictures we require a mobile phone with a camera.

Now days the phones are very much popular with their cameras the most common specification of camera that we see while purchasing a new mobile phone is the megapixel count of the camera.

We want the phone with many megapixel count camera but is it necessary that the more the megapixel count the higher the quality. Let's know about this.

But firstly we have to know about megapixel.

What is megapixel?

The term megapixel means 1 milion pixels.

The resolution of camera photography is often measured in megapixel.

For example:- If your phone's camera is of 12 megapixel then it means that the image sensor of your phone's camera have 12 milion pixels,with the resolution of 4000*3000 pixel.

The picture you click with the camera is made up of many pixels.

Let's quickly know in short about pixel.

Pixel refers to picture elements. The pixel is made up of 3 sub pixel which are Red, Green,blue colour pixels.the each pixel is capable to capture some information (light, colour, contrast,etc.)

So,When we click a photo the information get stored in the pixels and by combining all the information taken by all the pixels we get the actual photograph after it get processed in the galary.

Now we will finish our confusion or basically the myth of many megapixel count.

We have the myth that if my phone's camera has many number of megapixel then the quality will be superb but it is not right. The quality of image is not totally depends on the megapixel count there are several other things also which are also much necessary for choosing a good camera phone like aperture, Sensors size, etc.

It is good to have a camera of many megapixel count but only by the megapixel you can not judge the quality of camera.
